It's the lag that is killing me during fights and I just started. everything left is worth like 200xps, so I guess I just need to invest the time and fight him. I am currently working on killing / getting past the bishop and the worm has been challenging, so I am now going back to look for items/random XP points. But, I already have 30 hours into the game and I am still on act 1 and isn't the idea of having fun the point? I am not aware of your/that method, so it is hard to say. Actually, there is one - your method is faster. I mean, is it really any different compared to abusing the get-a-free-rogue-and-steal-everything thing you can do with the mirror? I don't see a damn difference. I am sure some will disagree as you can unlock all spells/skills, but since you have a limited # of slots to use you still need to experiment and build the character the way you want them - and pump points into extra slots. It does not break the dynamics of the game or change how you play it.
You find an occasional good item, but IMHO as others have said the money is only good for a quick start. Even with LC (+8) most of the equipment is meh. I bought some early eqiupment and skill/spell books and then played regular.
